Explore arctic nature and meet the arctic animals every day of the year

Arctic nature is fragile and sensitive. In Ranua Wildlife Park, the looking after the versatility of it, is present for the visitors. Ranua Wildlife Park has taken in endangered species and animals that need extra care-taking. You can see the only polar bears living in Finland, as well as, 50 other arctic and northern animal species, all in all 200 individuals, at the Ranua Wildlife Park. The animals live in spacious fencings in the midst of northern forest, in as authentic natural environment as possible.

Wildlife Park is a popular tourist destination, but Ranua Wildlife Park is committed to other duties as well: in Ranua Wildlife Park endangered animal species are cared for and people are informed how they can be part of protection programs. Ranua Wildlife Park also nurses and cares for injured animals in the nature. The Ranua Wildlife Park team is specialised in northern and arctic animal species, which are also the main target in our protection work

 

Ranua Wildlife Park is open every day of the year:

1.6.-31.8. every day at  9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

1.9.-31.5. every day at 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Feeding shows every day 1.6.-31.8.

Bears and polar bears at 12:30-1 p.m.
Lynx, wolf or wolverine at 2-2:20 p.m.
Farm animals 2:30-3 p.m.
Otter 4:40-5 p.m.

Notice

For not disturbing the wellbeing of the animals, there is no lighting inside the Wildlife Park. If you visit the Wildlife Park after 2 pm in the wintertime you should bring your own torch with you. You can also buy a torch from the ticket sales office.
