It is advisable to pay extra attention to reindeers while driving around Ranua area – there are quite a lot of them, sometimes also on the road. It is not, however, the best place to photograph the reindeer, so a visit to a reindeer farm or to Ranua Wildlife Park are better ways to get to know these Santa’s helpers. During the berry-season you know that you are approaching Ranua, when the sides of the roads are full of berry-pickers’ cars.
